What data we collect and why
Browsing the site
As with any website, the server that hosts it automatically records some technical data: IP address, browser type, date and time of the visit, pages requested. This data is used only to make the site work and to protect it from misuse, and is kept only for as long as strictly necessary.
Visit statistics
The site uses Independent Analytics to understand visits and the pages viewed. This tool does not use cookies and stores the data on the site’s server, without sending it to the plugin’s provider.
Statistics are collected only with your consent, given through the banner. You can refuse or withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie preferences (you will also find them in the Cookie Policy) by switching off the “Statistics” option, without affecting your browsing of the site.
Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect your name, email address, website (if provided), the text of the comment, your IP address and the date. Your email address is never published. This data is used to publish and moderate the comment and to prevent spam. Every comment is read and approved before publication. The data is kept for as long as the comment remains published; you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and any other details you enter in the subscription form. We use them only to send you the Piccole Stelle Insieme newsletter. Your subscription is based on your consent: you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by writing to privacy@piccolestelleinsieme.com. Subscribers’ data is stored on the site’s server and is not passed on to third parties.
Contact by email
If you write to one of our email addresses, we will use the data you send us (name, email address, content of the message) only to reply to you. The message is kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
Cookies
The site uses only technical cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as the one that remembers the language you chose or your cookie preferences. You will find full details in the Cookie Policy.
The site’s fonts are hosted directly on our server: while you browse, no data is sent to Google or to any other external service.
Who we share data with
Your data is never sold or passed on to third parties. Only the technical providers essential to running the site can access it, in particular the company that provides the hosting service (Aruba S.p.A., with servers in Italy), which acts as data processor.
Data is not transferred outside the European Union.
Children
The site is intended for parents, educators and adults who accompany children as they grow. Children under 14 should not subscribe to the newsletter or leave comments without a parent’s consent.
Your rights
Under the European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), you can at any time:
- find out which personal data about you is being processed and receive a copy of it;
- ask for it to be corrected, updated or deleted;
- ask for processing to be restricted, or object to it;
- receive your data in a readable format (portability);
- withdraw the consent you have given, for example for the newsletter or for statistics, without this affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
To exercise these rights, write to privacy@piccolestelleinsieme.com. If you believe your data is not being processed correctly, you can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
Security
The site uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
